About Us

We are the College of Charleston's only student-run theatre company. Center Stage has been around on campus in many different forms, but we took off in the late 1980's and has since become foundation for the theatre program on campus. Our organization produces 2 to 3 theatrical productions per semester that are completely student directed, designed, and performed. Center Stage performances are free for all students (with a student ID) and $10 for non-students. Meetings are held throughout the semester for members and anyone who are interested. We offer a variety of opportunities for students, including workshops, cabarets, staged-readings, 48 hour play festivals, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, and much much more!

Mission

Provide practical theatrical activities to students, exposing them to experience the theatre as a cultural force through our productions.

Vision

To produce theatre that is risky, exploratory, and relevant to college students, both as artists and as audiences. We want to provide an outlet for students to develop themselves as creators in ways not available to them anywhere else in the community, and for audiences to experience theatre as a relevant art form.

The Center Stage Board

The board consists of 10 members of all backgrounds. Every Spring, members of Center Stage elect new board officers to continue the organization. These are Center Stage's board officers for this year.
