STATEMENT OF APOLOGY

PRODUCTION TEAM

- DIRECTOR -

Aidan Wunderley*

Aidan Wunderley is a junior theatre major with a concentration in performance. Aidan’s other work with Center Stage includes acting in The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] as Jess, The Rocky Horror Shadow Cast 2022, as Brad Majors, and stage managing Firebringer. This is Aidan’s first time directing with Center Stage. Aidan would like to thank the cast and crew of As I Was, Not As I Am for being so open and trusting of each other, and for always being down to play a silly game! 

- STAGE MANAGER -

Grace Albertson

Grace Albertson is in her freshman year as an arts management major at The College. She most recently worked as an assistant stage manager for the mainstage production of Men On Boats. She would like to thank Aidan Wunderley for giving her this opportunity, and her suitemates for keeping her sane through the spreadsheets. 

- ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER -

Dailyn Mincey

Dailyn Mincey is a sophomore majoring in Theatre with a concentration in Theatre studies. This is their first production at the College. They would like to thank Grace Albertson and Aidan Wunderley for being amazing mentors and giving them the opportunity to work alongside such talented people. 

- LIGHTING DESIGNER -

Reed Reed

Reed Reed would like to thank you for coming to see today’s performance. This is their junior year at CofC. They are a Computing in the Arts major with a minor in Studio Art. You may remember Reed from other Centerstage productions such as The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged [Revised] or the Rocky Horror Shadow Cast of 2023. Reed would like to thank Bootsie Baldwin and Alex Jones for their help with Reed’s debut as a Lighting Designer.

- SOUND DESIGNER -

Morgan Kelly

Morgan Kelly is a junior at the College of Charleston majoring in English with a concentration in writing, rhetoric, and publication and minoring in history. They have previously been involved in some of Center Stage’s productions both onstage and offstage. This is their first time designing sound for a show, and they’d like to thank Eli Salas for teaching them the ropes.

- SET DESIGNER -

Caroline Drinnon

Caroline Drinnon is so excited that you’ve come to see her debut as a Scenic Designer! This is her sophomore year at the College of Charleston where she is majoring in Theatre and minoring in both Film Studies and Studio Art. This is her first show with Centerstage and she would like to thank Claire Oliver for allowing her to use her furniture. 

- COSTUME DESIGNER -

Joyce Burton

 Joyce Burton, (she/her) Class of 27' Marine Biology and Theater major with a concentration in costume design. This is my first time being in charge of the costumes for a show. In the past I mostly did the sewing work. It has been a great opportunity to work on the design of this show. Thanks for coming to see the show and thanks to center stage for making this all happen.

Mars Perkins

Mars is a Junior majoring in History and Secondary Education with a minor in Anthropology. They would like to thank this wonderful cast and crew for the opportunity to work with them on this amazing show. This is their first time working on and designing a show with Center Stage!

- DRAMATURG -

Madelein Hanson

Madelein Hanson junior majoring in Theatre Studies and French Studies, with a minor in Linguistics. She was last seen on the main stage in the staged reading In Love and Warcraft as Evie Malone, and most recently with Center Stage as Brad Majors in Center Stage's The Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadowcast 2023.  Madelein has previously done dramaturgy for Center Stage’s The Bacchae and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and is currently working on dramaturgy for  the CofC Opera’s production of Die Fledermaus. She would like to thank Aidan Wunderley for their support and patience, and for choosing such a beautiful play.

Queen Hamilton, II - Laurel

Queen Hamilton, II is a senior majoring in Music with a concentration in Composition. She’s really thankful and happy to be a part of this show and for the opportunity to work with such amazing and talented people. This is her first time performing with CenterStage, though she has been involved with the organization before as Co-Music Director for Firebringer. You may have last seen her in “L’Amour et la Mort” or various other opera programs.

Phoenix Brown - Jeanine

Phoenix Brown (Jeanine) is a senior at the College of Charleston majoring in Theatre with a concentration in performance. You may have last seen them in cofc’s main stage production, Men on Boats and the stage reading of In Love and Warcraft. They would like to thank Aidan Wunderley for the opportunity to work with such a phenomenal cast. They would also like to thank their partner for always being steady. 

Josie Shostack - Melissa

Josie Shostak (she/her) is a senior double majoring in Marine Biology and Environmental and Sustainability Studies with a minor in Studio Art (for photography). This is her second performance with Center Stage, and feels so lucky to work with such thoughtful and talented actors. She would like to thank her family and friends, who don’t live in the world of theater, for coming to support her doing something she loves outside of the ocean.

Journey Townsend - Zarya

Journey Townsend is a Freshman and  is a double major in Theatre with a concentration in performance and International Business, and this is her first performance at College of Charleston. She is so grateful to be a part of this show, and is so excited to keep working with Center stage.

Ana Sofia Holmes - Laurel/ Jeanine Understudy

Ana Sofia Holmes is a sophomore at the college of charleston majoring in Marine Biology. This is Ana Sofia’s first time participating in a Center Stage production and she is very glad to have met all of the wonderful people participating in the production. She is very excited to be a part of this production and can’t wait for people to experience the wonderful show.

Katie Burns - Zarya/ Melissa Understudy

Katie is a sophomore at the college double majoring in Marine Biology and Theatre studies. Most recently she has played Frank Goodman in the College of Charleston Department of Theatre and Dance’s production of Men On Boats, and designed the costumes for Center Stage’s 2023 Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast. They are so grateful for the opportunity to take part in another wonderful Center Stage show and have so much love for this organization, cast, and crew.
