- DIRECTOR -

Bea Lemaster*

Bea Lemaster is going into their senior year at the college, and is so excited to share their second directorial credit! Bea is a theatre studies major, and is also the Artistic Director of Center Stage. They were last seen directing Firebringer in April, as well as acting as Harper in There’s Always Tomorrow (directed by Madison Berry, Piccolo Spoleto 2023). Look out for them in the upcoming production of Men on Boats (directed by Sharon Graci). Enjoy the show! 

- STAGE MANAGEMENT -

Morgan Kelly* & Phoenix Brown

Morgan Kelly is a junior majoring in English with a concentration in Writing, Rhetoric, and Publication and a History minor. Morgan is currently serving as the Center Stage board’s digital archivist and was most recently seen as Emberly in Firebringer (April 2023). They have also been involved with stage management for Center Stage’s productions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast in 2022 and 2023. Thanks to Phoenix for being an awesome co-stage manager, to Bea for their flexibility, and Isabella for her guidance.

Phoenix is a senior majoring in Theatre with a concentration in performance. They have recently been seen in Two Gentlemen of Verona as an Outlaw. They will also be in the upcoming play Men on Boats as Johnson. They were assistant stage manager for The Complete Works of Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] in 2022. Thank you to Morgan for being a fantastic co-stage manager, to Bea for this wonderful learning experience, and to Bootsie for their kindness and patience.

Bootsie Baldwin*

Bootsie Baldwin is a junior majoring in Computing in the Arts with a concentration in Theatre and a minor in Mathematics from Charleston, SC. Bootsie is a Center Stage board member, and this is their second lighting design for a Center Stage production. Their work has previously been seen for Center Stage’s Firebringer and in CofC Mainstage’s spring dance concert, Becoming We. She is very excited for this opportunity on the opening show of the season.

- SOUND DESIGN -

Bristol Barnes*

Bristol Barnes (she/they) is a senior majoring in Theatre (Scenic Design and Performance) and minoring in Film Studies. This show marks her very first sound design! Her previous scenic design work has been seen in Firebringer (Center Stage), Two Gentlemen of Verona (Mainstage), and Swing of the Sea (Center Stage). Keep an eye out for her scenic design of Pippin this coming November!

Madison Berry*

Madison Berry is a senior at the College of Charleston studying Theatre (Performance and Scenic Design). This is her very first projection design! Her previous work with Center Stage has consisted of scenic designing The Cake, and she looks forward to completing her scenic design for the upcoming Mainstage production of Men on Boats!

Madelein Hanson* & Jacob Rye

Madelein Hanson (she/her) is a junior double majoring French Studies and Theatre Studies, with a minor in Linguistics. This is her first dramaturg credit here at the College of Charleston, but this is far from her first time with Center Stage, having previously been seen in Firebringer and as the props designer for Shakespeare Abridged.  She is very excited to share what she has learned with you and hopes that you enjoy the show!

Michael Davenport - Dionysus

Michael Davenport (he/him) is a Senior double majoring in Studio Arts, painting concentration, and Arts Management. The Bacchae is his stage debut at the College, and he is excited to be a part of this show with such a wonderful cast and crew.

Jacob Rye - Pentheus

Jacob Rye (he/him) is a senior majoring in Theatre (Performance) and minoring in Biology. He has appeared in a couple Center Stage productions, such as The Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast directed by Caroline Magee, and Firebringer directed by Bea Lemaster. This is also his first dramaturg credit here at the college.

Eli Salas* - Cadmus

Eli Salas (he/they) is a senior studying technical theatre at the college. He is Center Stage's Non-Equity Deputy and has been a part of many Center Stage productions. He was last year's student sound designer for College of Charleston and you may have heard his work in Two Gentlemen of Verona and Marcus; Or the Secret of Sweet

Delaney Faile - Agave/Bacchae Chorus

Delaney Faile is a junior majoring in Arts Management and Theatre (Theatre Studies). Previous credits with Center Stage include Jen in The Cake and Alicia in Thanksgiving Play. Delaney was previously seen in the ensemble of The Department of Theatre and Dance’s Mainstage production of Violet and she will be in the ensemble of Pippin later this Fall.

Bristol Barnes* - Tiresias/Bacchae Chorus

Bristol Barnes (she/they) is a senior majoring in Theatre (Scenic Design and Performance) and minoring in Film Studies. She is very excited to make her acting and sound design debut at the College! Her previous scenic design work as has been seen in Firebringer (Center Stage) and Two Gentlemen of Verona (Mainstage). Her directorial work has been seen in Proof (Center Stage).

Noah Anderson - Messenger/Guard

Noah Anderson (he/him) is a Senior double majoring in history and theater. This is his 3rd Center Stage production.  He was also seen in Swing of the Sea (Eggs), Cabaret (Cliff), Violet (Earl, Bus driver), Two gentlemen of Verona (Eglamour), and Firebringer (Grunt).

Madison Berry* - Maenad #1

Madison Berry is a senior at the College of Charleston studying Theatre (Performance and Scenic Design). Previous credits with Center Stage include Claire in Proof. She has been seen in the Mainstage’s production of The Magic Flute. Her directorial work has been seen in There’s Always Tomorrow at Piccolo Spoleto this past June. She has also served as Assistant Director on Mrs Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley and Two Gentlemen of Verona for Mainstage this past year.

Isabella Gardner - Maenad #2

Isabella Garder (she/her) is a junior double majoring in Theatre (General) and Arts Management. This is far from her first time on the Chapel stage, having appeared in Two Gentlemen of Verona directed by Michael Smallwood, and Firebringer, (also) directed by Bea Lemaster. Her participation on the technical side includes lighting designing Halle White’s piece Not My Responsibility for last semester’s dance concert, Becoming We, and stage managing Sonya Hayden’s There’s Always Tomorrow directed by Madison Berry at Piccolo Spoleto. And she puts that on Bromius.

LG Wylie - Maenad #3

LG Wylie (she/her) is a junior majoring in Theatre (Performance). This will be her acting debut at the College, except for a small, prehistoric cameo in Firebringer (directed by Bea Lemaster). She is very excited frisk like a fillie for Dionysus and for you ;).

Halle White - Bacchae Chorus

Halle White (she/her) is a junior from Greenville, SC double majoring in Dance (Performance/Choreography) and Arts Management. Although she has performed in numerous dance productions throughout her seasons with the Mainstage, this will be her acting debut at the College of Charleston. She could be seen in other areas of the department with student choreography featured in the spring 2023 dance concert Becoming We and dancing in multiple previous dance concerts and shows including the Mainstage opera production of Die Zauberflöte.
